Malika, the leader of an all-female punk rock
band Traitors, has a strong vision of the world, her
hometown of Tangier and her place in it. In need
of money to save her family from eviction and to
realise her ambition for the band, Malika agrees
to a fast cash proposition: a smuggling run over
the mountains with Amal, a burnt-out young drug
mule, as her only companion.

about a man who takes to the road to escape the

explores ideas about love, marriage and commit-
ment, with a big surprise ending.

comes closer to her passions, but also comes closer
to a great tragedy.

The film tells a story about the life in an Estonian
village in 1992 in Abkhazia during a war. Two
wounded fighters from opposite camps end up in
an Estonian’s house in a village abandoned due to
the fear of war. The landlord tries to calm down the
mutual thirst of blood of the two fiery fighters, at
the same time wondering if there really is someone
who will benefit by having this war going.

Bettie, in her early sixties, is jilted by her lover, and
is left alone to deal with the financial problems
of her family’s restaurant. So what should she do
with her life now? She gets into her car to go for a
drive round the block to get away from it all. But
her journey turns out not quite as she had planned.
Omar

Palestine (2013 - 96’)
Omar climbs over a separation wall for Nadia’s
love. He is a thoughtful boy and a focused baker.
He lands on the other side as a resistance fighter
who faces choices about how to be a man. The bru-
tal and beautiful uncertainty of the human condi-
tion is as much the hero of the film as Omar. We’re
left to wonder about the impact of the choices we
make when all our reference points have been de-
stroyed.

Mexico (2013 - 82’)
Paloma is a lonely single mother whose relation-
ship with her 15-year-old son Hector has grown
awkwardly close, since Hector serves as the only
male figure in her life. Paloma and Hector live as a
couple in an insular world, but when they take a va-
cation to a beachside resort, Hector meets Jazmin, a
girl who is the same age as him, and Paloma finds
herself competing with Jazmin for her son’s atten-
tion.
