early October 2004, she exhibited her paintings at
the Centralbadet in Stockholm on the occasion of
the latter’s 100-year anniversary celebrations.
In November 2004, the artist had an individual
exhibition in Stockholm with 27 paintings, com-
prising mostly new work. The exhibition was in-
augurated by the Lord Mayor of Stockholm, Mr
BarryAndersson, and was marked by the presence
of Princess Lilian of Belgium, Baroness
Marga-
retha
Palmstierna, ambassadors, parliamentarians
and other officials and friends. Her work received
very positive reviews.
In May 2005, she donated ten of her paintings that
were exhibited at the British Embassy premises in
Stockholm to a charity event that took place under
the auspices and presence of HRH Princess Lilian
and the collaboration of the President of the Dip-
lomatic Women’s Club. All proceeds went to the
SOS Children Villages fund.
In October 2008, Mary Papademas took the op-
portunity to exhibit her new work entitled «Αλς-
Ναυς» (“Als-Nafs” – Sea and the Ship) in Nicosia
and the exhibition was inaugurated by the former
Minister of Health, Mr Costas Kadis. The pro-
ceeds were donated to the Fund for children with
special needs.
In September 2010, the artist exhibited a new cycle
of paintings entitled “Free Besieged” at the Bank
of Cyprus Cultural Centre in Nicosia. The exhi-
bition was inaugurated by Parliamentary Spokes-
man Nicos Katsourides and part of the proceeds
was donated to the Cyprus Anti-cancer Society.
Meanwhile, she was also taking part in group ex-
hibitions in Brussels and in Limassol.
In March 2011, her new range of paintings and
sculptures, giving a new expression to her con-
temporary dimension, was shown at the Emirates
Palace in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The exhibition was
inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education
and Scientific Research of UAE, H.H. Sheikh
Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and part of the
proceeds was donated to the Future Centre for
Special Needs Foundation.
