ypriot artist Chris Savvides presented his
abstract and semi abstract paintings, most
for the first time, on 5-10 November, 2012, at
the prestigious Gallery in Cork Street in Lon-
don.
Chris’ art is characterised by vibrant colours,
an oasis of calmness, life experience, dedica-
tion and above all, exploration of life through
forms of colours, lines and shapes.
Born in 1942 in Cyprus, he studied Art at St
Martin’s School of Art over the period 1961-
1967, thus being at the centre of the art transfor-
mation, revolution and the emerging new ideas;
a time that changed London and the world in
their views about visual art and expression. He
spent most of his life in his tranquil environ-
ment of lush greenery close to Finchley Cen-
