The award for Best Documentary, accompanied

Lukasz Konopa from Poland. Visually confident,
this documentary examines the nature of memory
and allows us to view a very familiar event in a
bold, new light.
International Special Mentions
Special mention went to the scriptwriters Pavlos
Methenitis and Kostas Yerampinis for the film
Ice-
berg
, by Kostas Yerampinis from Greece. The film,
which dealswith the outburst of an outsider as a state-
ment about the actual social struggles currently facing
Greek society, also features excellent performances
fromhits lead actors. Based on the report of a rejected
asylumapplication, the film reconstructs the protago-
nist’s storywith artistic, visual language.
For its imaginative and outstanding approach to
documentary filmmaking, the jury awarded spe-
cial mention to the film

Special Mention also went to a film that impressed
the jury with its unique storytelling,

Made with a minimal budget, the film comprises
different narrative layers and is full of humour and
